Humming Fridge

Your humming drives me insane
I may unplug you
Refrigerator
Your humming drives me insane
I may unplug you
I could probably write
Haiku poetry all night
In five-seven-five
Overheard it said
“I should be in camp right now”
Pack up and just go
Distant thunder rolls
A deep purple the sky grows
Then the lightning show
Lying on the couch
Taking an afternoon nap
I fall to the floor
Nats Josh Willingham
Hit two grand slams in one game
Just the thirteenth time
Upon this green Earth
Where dinosaurs used to roam
Now we dig them up
I heard people say
“Skateboarding is not a crime”
Back in the eighties
Jimmie Johnson wins
sixteenth Brickyard 400
Third time is a charm
There are many ifs
In this thing that we call life
But they matter not
