From outside the house
The aroma of the pot roast
Fills the winter air

I saw Comic-Con –
Attendees wear Halloween
costumes in July

I don’t really care
If there’s no such thing as ghosts
My mind is made up

Pirates once told me,

Those bloody pirates!

Why do people think
“Ghosts” only come out at night?
Do they fear the light?

Zombies love fresh brains
And they want to munch on yours

October is odd
Occurs in the dead of fall
Eerie things abound

Saturday morning
was meant for pointless cartoons
Not “edutainment”

I’m falling asleep
Early on a Friday night
Wore out from the week
